TRIGUN STARGAZE, the followup to TRIGUN STAMPEDE from studio Orange, will hit screens in 2026.
Alongside that news came a new piece of key art for the series as well as some staff details. The art was drawn by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, the director of Look Back, who serves as animation character designer on STARGAZE.
The series is set 2.5 years after TRIGUN STAMPEDE and is based on the manga by Yasuhiro Nightow.
Here’s who’s working on the STARGAZE series:
Director: Masako Sato (Anima Yell!)
Story: Takehiko Oxi (TRIGUN STAMPEDE)
Scripts: Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Girls’ Last Tour)
Character designer/concept artist: Kōji Tajima (TRIGUN STAMPEDE)
Animation character designer: Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Look Back)
Director Sato’s comment to the press reads: “This is a newly spun Trigan conclusion. What will be the path and flow of the battle between Vash and Knives, and how will their battle end? We hope you will pick up a copy of the original and enjoy both stories.”
Here’s how Crunchyroll describes Orange’s STAMPEDE, which aired in 2023:
Rookie reporter Meryl Stryfe and her jaded partner are after the most wanted man in Noman’s Land, Vash the Stampede. But they’re left with more questions than answers. How can a pacifist rack up such a bounty, and why is he so hard to pin down?
