Storm damage in Rockdale County
ATLANTA — A tornado watch has been allowed to expire in metro Atlanta after a line of severe storms moved through the area.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz and Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan tracked a tornado using StormTracker 2HD as the worst moved through Rockdale County.
Nitz says radar confirmed a tornado touched down in Conyers. The National Weather Service will have survey crews out to assess the damage.
Monahan says as of 4 a.m., the severe weather risk is now over for north Georgia.
