Charlamagne Tha God is one of the most popular voices in entertainment, largely due to his unhinged commentary on celebrities. This week, he was the butt of the joke — no pun intended — after Lil Duval got his hands on a video of the 46-year-old media personality dancing.
In the clip, The Breakfast Club host can be seen dropping it low in the iHeartRadio studio while his co-host Nyla Symone throws dollars at him. It is unclear whether he knew he was being recorded or not, but he seemed to be fully invested in the dance as he even turned around, facing where the camera was pointed, and continued his routine.
The “Smile” artist uploaded the video to his Instagram and soundtracked it with Plies’ “U Ain’t Regular,” a record befitting the energy Charlamagne was giving off. Women in the background could be heard saying, “Mocha man is coming through,” seemingly due to the radio host wearing a brown sweatsuit. Duval highlighted that new moniker by adding text to the video reading, “It was at this point Mocha was born.”
“I know dam well he ain’t think i was gonna let this slide,” Lil Duval wrote in his caption with several laughing emojis. “Coming to the stage [Charlamagne] the GAAAAWWWWWD! *laughing emojis* let’s disgust…i mean discuss.”
Loren Lorosa, the personality’s co-host on The Breakfast Club, and several other users got a good laugh out of the post. Meanwhile, Charlamagne himself commented and asked, “What song is this on this AI video?” Duval got in on the comment action as well, writing, “It’s the drop wit the finger up for me” and “This *ninja emoji* got on red panties.” The author has never been shy about laughing at himself, but there may be a good chance he keeps a more watchful eye for cameras next time he decides to drop down and get his eagle on.
