Lauren Sánchez’s Brother Compares Her and Jeff Bezos’ Upcoming Wedding to Princess Diana’s
Lauren Sánchez’s brother has some royal expectations for her and Jeff Bezos’ wedding.
Two years after the Amazon mogul and journalist’s engagement, Lauren’s older brother Paul Sánchez made a prediction of what people can expect of their nuptials, comparing it to Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ 1981 wedding.
“I think it’s gonna be like a Princess Di thing,” he told TMZ in a March 27 interview. “Just huge and fun, and just a blast.”
He continued of his sister’s upcoming matrimony to Jeff, “I’m thrilled beyond belief.”
Lauren’s brother noted that he will likely donate to a charity in lieu of a wedding present, given the couple’s massive wealth.
“We don’t have many details yet, but it’s gonna be star-studded and fun,” he continued. “It’s gonna be an amazing event.”
And while the family is anxiously awaiting the big day, Paul noted that Lauren and Jeff are a bit more focused on Jeff’s Blue Origin rocket launch, which will take Lauren, Katy Perry and Gayle King into space April 14.
As Paul noted, “I’ll be there for that.”
Meanwhile, Gayle previously gushed about her upcoming space expedition, despite previously turning it down.
“I’m so afraid, but I’m also so excited about it,” Gayle explained during a CBS Mornings segment last month. “When they asked me, and they asked me around Thanksgiving, I was like, ‘no, no, no.’ Then I started thinking about it. And I just thought what a unique opportunity.”
Lauren, meanwhile, thought she would “never” get an opportunity like this.

“This journey is more than a space flight,” Lauren told People earlier this month. “It’s about inspiring the next generation of explorers and dreamers, being bold, and embracing adventure in pursuit of learning and growing as a person.”
As for whether the former Extra correspondent is anxious at all for her launch above the atmosphere? She added to People, “I think it’s natural to be a little nervous.”
