Kelly Ripa’s husband Mark Consuelos suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the Wednesday, March 12, episode of Live! With Kelly and Mark. For the first 10 minutes of the show, Consuelos had no idea that the zipper on his pants was down.

Ripa, 54, and Consuelos, 53, were gearing up for their “Stump Mark” segment when Consuelos exclaimed, “My zipper’s down!” The live audience could see what was going on, but viewers at home had a graphic on their screens at the time that Consuelos adjusted his pants.

A seemingly shocked Ripa looked at her husband’s pants and asked, “Did anybody notice that?” Consuelos was quick to make everyone laugh about the embarrassing moment.

“No!” he said while nodding his head. “My fly was down the whole time!”

This isn’t the first time that a wardrobe malfunction has happened on Live! However, Ripa is usually the victim. For example, in 2023, Ripa had a wardrobe malfunction backstage while changing into a dress.

“I had a small wardrobe emergency backstage,” she said. “It was very exciting. I almost did not walk out here!”

Also in 2023, Ripa was doing an interview with Dancing With the Stars pros Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy when her dress ripped.

“Did the entire back of my dress rip open?” she asked. “OK, fine. It’s just a breakaway dress,” she joked, moving things along. She continued to learn some moves from the dancing duo, with Consuelos able to reassure her by saying, “you’re fine, it’s good.”

Ripa tends to handle these mishaps like a pro, which comes with being on the air for so long. The former soap opera star first joined Live! In 2001, she was confirmed as Kathie Lee Gifford’s replacement on the show, sitting next to Regis Philbin in the mornings. After Philbin retired, Ripa took the helm, and she’s had a few co-hosts in the time since, including Wheel of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest.
