Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr full card including the YouTube star in another unlikely fight and Cruiserweight belt is defended

The next big celebrity boxing fight pits YouTuber Jake Paul against former world Middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on June 28.

The event will be broadcast on DAZN from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Jake Paul is coming off a big win over Mike Tyson and will hope to repeat his success against another former world champion in Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The Mexican fighter will have his 2nd bout in 4 years, as the 39-year-old looks to end his career with a big payday in this mismatched bout.

Jake Paul headlines a stacked card, which includes a former UFC Champion and a unified world champion.

Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr

The main event of this fight night pits YouTuber-turned-fighter Paul against former WBC Middleweight world champion Chavez Jr.

The Mexican fighter has an impressive record in his career, although he has only fought once in the past 4 years.

Chavez Jr’s record (W-L-D) T(KO)
54-6-1 34-2

This bout looks like his final outing and a chance for one last payday. Chavez Jr was offered $2.2 million to fight Paul back in 2021, with the number in 2025 likely to be much higher than that.

Chavez Jr had the choice to fight two different YouTubers, but chose Paul over KSI for this high-profile fight, following the American’s victory over Mike Tyson last year.

Gilberto Ramirez vs Yuniel Dorticos

Gilberto Ramirez’s opponent on the Paul vs Chavez Jr card has disappointed some, but it won’t be an easy fight for the champion.

Ramirez defends his Unified Cruiserweight title against mandatory challenger Yuniel Dorticos on June 28, in a bout that was originally scheduled for April earlier this year.

The 39-year-old Cuban hasn’t fought much over the past 5 years, but has been very competitive in the biggest fights of his career, and should be motivated in what could be his last chance at world title gold.

Holly Holm vs Yolanda Vega

Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Holly Holm returns to the boxing ring for the first time since 2013 as she battles Yolanda Vega on the main card of Paul vs Chavez Jr.

Almost 10 years since Holm knocked out Ronda Rousey at UFC 193, she attempts to do the same to Vega, although this time in the boxing ring instead of the octagon.

Holm has won 33 of her 38 fights with just 2 losses, although returning to the ring at 43 could be a step too far.

The undefeated Vega will be confident of taking down the former champion, being 14 years younger than her more experienced opponent.

Floyd Schofield vs Tevin Farmer

American fighter Floyd “Kid Austin” Schofield faces his toughest test so far when he takes on Tevin Farmer in California.

The undefeated Lightweight is 18-0 in his career with 12 KOs, although the more experienced Farmer will prove a tough task.

Farmer has fought 43 times with 33 wins, although with 3 losses in a row in title fights, he may be past his best in the ring, and could be an easy win for “Kid Austin”.

Avious Griffin vs Julian Rodriguez

Avious Griffin’s power advantage could prove the difference as he takes on Julian Rodriguez, but he will have to contend with his opponent’s experience in the ring if he wants to walk out the victor.

Griffin is undefeated in his first 17 fights, with all but one of those coming via knockout.

In comparison, only 14 of Rodriguez’s 23 fights have ended that way, while he also gives up 3 inches in height to his older opponent.

It should be a close fight that has all the makings of a big knockout win for one of the fighters involved.

Raul Curiel vs Victor Ezequiel Rodriguez

A strong fight is expected to open the show between two impressive Welterweight boxers with enviable records.

Both Raul Curiel and Victor Ezequiel Rodriguez are undefeated, with just one draw to their name each.

Naomy Valle vs Ashley Felix

The only fight announced for the undercard for Paul vs Chavez Jr is the Women’s Flyweight bout between Naomy Valle and Ashley Felix.

The undefeated prospect Valle will be confident taking on Felix, who has 3 losses in 10 fights and should prove an easy win for the Costa Rican fighter.
