Having joined Chelsea from Southampton last summer, Romeo Lavia suffered from a serious ankle problem and it took him a while to get sufficiently fit, but after only 32 minutes of his first appearance for the club – a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the end of December, he suffered a thigh injury that has ruled him out for the rest of the season.
It’s obviously very tough luck for the 20-year-old midfielder.
