‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Star Karen Huger Found Guilty of DUI
The Real Housewives of Potomac season nine reunion just won’t be the same without the Grande Dame.
But despite missing the Bravo series’ reunion taping to seek treatment following her DUI conviction, Karen Huger shocks her entire cast with a surprise appearance in the reality show’s newly released trailer.
“There’s an elephant in the room that we need to address,” host Andy Cohen announces at the top of the Jan. 31 preview. “Karen, the Grande Dame, is not with us. She sent a message.”
Cut to a pre-recorded video of the absent star, who breaks down in tears amid her personal struggles and ongoing legal problems.
The clip causes Karen’s castmates to get emotional, with longtime frenemy Gizelle Bryant admitting, “As much as I hate her, I love her.”
Wendy Osefo has a much different reaction, however. “Having seen that, it all adds up,” Wendy notes. “And now I can confidently say that is not my friend.”
Wendy then makes a shocking accusation about Karen’s alleged drinking habits off camera.
“They said, ‘You’re on the show with Karen,'” the former professor recounts. “‘She comes here every single day and she gets drunk.'”
But the bombshells don’t stop there.
Ashley Darby then claims that, following Karen’s car accident and arrest last March, “One of these journalists had messaged me that there had been a person in the car with Karen who fled.”
As for who it could be? Mia Thornton chimes in, “Her boyfriend.”
And when Andy asks the cast, “If she goes to jail, how will she do?” her costars declare “terrible,” with Gizelle quipping, “You can’t wear your wig.”
But Karen isn’t the only Housewife in the hot seat. Several castmembers accuse Mia of “exploiting” her family and new romance with boyfriend Inc this season, despite still being married to estranged husband Gordon Thornton.
As Wendy shares, “You had this plan of you and Inc and it backfired on you. So, you said ‘lemme drop Inc.'”
The piling on forces Mia to flee to her dressing room with Andy trying to convince her to return to set.

“There’s nothing worse than a shame spiral,” he tells her, “and I feel like you’re in one.”
See everything to come—including a dramatic bombshell revelation about Stacey Rusch‘s “boyfriend” TJ Jones—in the jaw-dropping trailer above.
