Darren Till will face light-heavyweight champion Anthony Taylor in his Misfits Boxing debut next month.
The Scouse star was due to face Tommy Fury, but the boxer opted out of fighting when Till threatened to kick him in the head if he were down on the scorecards after a few rounds. The comment appeared to be in jest, and the ex-UFC title contender would have lost his entire purse had he acted on it.
Now, he will face former Bellator star Taylor, who has been on an impressive winning streak under the Misfits banner for the past two years. He most recently knocked out Anderson Silva’s son Gabriel and Karate Combat’s Samuel Ericsson within three weeks of one another in August.

Misfits Boxing announce new card for Manchester event including Darren Till
With less than a month to go until fight night, fans had been left in the lurch about what was happening with Misfits Boxing’s Manchester card. However, on Monday, it was announced that Darren Till would face Anthony Taylor.
The pair will compete in a cruiserweight bout capped at a catchweight, meaning Taylor won’t be defending his light-heavyweight title. Till competed as low as welterweight during the peak of his UFC career, while Taylor fought as low as featherweight in his early MMA career.
Till has been calling for a fight with Taylor for the past year, regularly mocking his performances. Even two knockout wins in three weeks wasn’t enough to impress him, slamming the Misfits star for his showing.
The co-main event of the evening will see renowned combat commentator Wade Plemons make his long-awaited ring debut against Love Island star Moziah Pinder. He was due to face controversial Tik Tok star HSTikkyTokky, but the Brit has pulled out citing a legal issue.
Filling out the undercard will be a host of lesser known influencer boxers looking to build their name on the Misfits Boxing platform. The best known name will be Tik Tok star Beavo, making his ring debut after being forced out of a fight with Danny Aarons in August.
Tommy Fury pulled out of Misfits X-Series 20 over kick threat
The event was supposed to be headlined by Tommy Fury’s return to the ring after over a year out, likely beginning his run back towards rematches with the likes of KSI or Jake Paul. But he has pulled out, citing Till’s insistence that he might throw a kick if the fight isn’t going his way.
Speaking with IFL TV, Fury reiterated his decision during fight week for his brother Tyson Fury’s unsuccessful rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. “Listen, at the end of the day I’m a professional fighter and the reason why I picked Darren wasn’t to then scrap the card,” he explained.
“It was because Darren has not got a business brain, Darren is what he is at the end of the day. I’m coming here to have a fight and the last thing I want to do is have somebody losing a couple of rounds and do something stupid like take me down.
“I’m not interested in anything like that, it’s not a circus. I know it’s Misfits and I know they all love that but I don’t want that for my career so at the end of the day you’ve got a man on the phone with betting companies or whatever saying he’s going to do this and do that.
“I don’t need that, to be quite honest with you. If you want to act like that, no problem, you’ll get replaced and we’re looking on to a much bigger and better fight. Darren had a chance and he blew it because he’s an idiot.
“For his whole family and his whole team or whatever, that’s what happens when you think you’re clever and you’re not. I wanted a proper fight and the man’s talking about rolling around on the ground. If I wanted to do that I’d have gone to MMA, wouldn’t I?”
